Mathias Aboba Fellow
Mathias Aboba is a communication science expert. He specializes in knowledge management and communication interventions, implementation and evaluation. He is skilled in editorial management and production of stories of change and translation of research into public information for multimedia platforms. He holds a Master’s of Arts degree (MA), in International Development with specialization in communication from Ohio University in the USA, BA, Integrated Development Studies from the University of Development Studies in Ghana and a number of professional training certificates including Communication, Marketing and Advertising from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and Health Policy Development and Analysis from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He has several years of experience in leading successful implementation of Knowledge Management interventions on programs at both local and national levels such as the Ghana Essential Health Intervention Program (GEHIP) and the National Program for Strengthening the Implementation of the Community-based Health Planning and Service (CHPS+) initiative. He has also previously provided consultancy and collaborative services for agencies and organizations like KOICA, ADRO and GDC, Ghana. Mathias is passionate about the need for strengthening communication systems in development practice to promote the production of quality data and information to support evidence-based action in countries that need such interventions most.
